Day 3 – PHILLY!!

Phyllis really had a great meet. I can brag most about her beam routine, but I will come back to that. She started on floor. She really ROCKED!!! She landed her last pass just a tad short which probably cost her about .20…. that .20 would have given her the GOLD. She was 12th. Vault – Philly has struggled a bit in practice on vault the last couple of weeks, but of course, being the stud that she is, she pulled it out! Stood up both vaults. Woo hooo!!! Bars – she actually had a great bar routine. She hit her feet on her straddle back behind the bar and the judges counted it as a fall. ARGH, everything else was very clean… all the way to a stuck dismount. Now to beam – Phyllis competed her cleanest, best, biggest routine all year. She didn’t have a wooble. Her switch leap was full split and she stuck her dismount. I was impressed.

What a fun weekend! I am so proud of all our athletes this season. This was the Achievers Girls Team’s BEST SEASON EVER!!!
