Today was Write a Poem about Gymnastics Day.

Giants, handstands, halfs and leaps
I love it so much I never want to sleep
Kip, clear hip, front tuck and back handspring
I want to learn how to do everything!

Vault
Before I start I say a quick prayer,
I salute the judges and get on the runway,
I run as fast as I can,
I jump on the spring board,
I block off my hands and stick the landing,
My team is cheer for me.
At the end I say another prayer and say thank you to God.

Bars
I jump and kip and cast away,
I do a clear hip and kip away,
I jump to the high bar,
Here come the hard part!
I do a cast handstand and do two giants,
I do a flyaway off the bar,
I stick it and finish!
I go to the award stand and get first place.
While I stand there proud and think how God was with me!

Beam
First I do my mount on the beam,
Then I strike a pose,
I try to make it pretty as I point my toes,
Next I will do my turn trying not to wobble,
Here comes the hard part,
I stretch tall and do a flic flic,
trying not to fall.
Here comes the dismount,
I do a running front tuck,
I stick the landing!
As I walk away I hear everyone cheering for me.

Gymnastics Sense Poem
I see an over-crowded gym.
I smell the fear in the other gymnast.
I hear the chanting of the on-lookers.
I feel the adrenaline rush.
I taste the victory.
I think that I have won the battle.
